Registration with ČSSZ

One of the activation steps is registration with ČSSZ (Czech Social Security Administration). It sounds formal, but in practice you have nothing to do with it — FixIt takes care of it as your employer. Here is what it is and why it is worth waiting for.

What registration with ČSSZ means

Before you accept your first job, FixIt, as your employer, must register you with ČSSZ in the register of employees. It is a statutory duty of the employer that, since April 2026, must be met before work begins.

The registration is filed by FixIt, not you. That is why the "Registration with ČSSZ" step in setup just waits until ČSSZ confirms the registration — it is not a task for you to handle.

Why activation waits on registration

You can accept your first job once the registration with ČSSZ is confirmed. With this, FixIt makes sure every employee is properly registered before they start working — as the law requires. Until the confirmation arrives, the activation step stays locked.

You do nothing

The registration is handled by FixIt. Your only task is to wait for confirmation — once it arrives, the final activation unlocks and you can start accepting jobs.

What is reported to ČSSZ above the threshold

Social insurance on a DPP hinges on the same 12 000 Kč per-month threshold. In a month when your pay reaches or exceeds it, FixIt files a monthly Výkaz DPP with ČSSZ — a report of the earnings settled from the agreement and of whether you crossed the threshold for participation in insurance.

Participation above the threshold also brings nemocenské pojištění (sickness insurance) — in such a month you are covered by sickness insurance on the basis of the DPP. This filing, too, is handled by FixIt for you.

FAQ

Do I have to register with ČSSZ myself?
No. The registration in the register of employees with ČSSZ is filed by FixIt as your employer. You just wait until ČSSZ confirms the registration.
Why can't I start working right away?
The law requires an employee to be registered with ČSSZ before work begins. That is why FixIt only unlocks job acceptance after the registration is confirmed.
Is anything reported to ČSSZ every month?
Only in a month when your pay reaches or exceeds the 12 000 Kč threshold. Then FixIt files a monthly Výkaz DPP; in months below the threshold nothing further is routinely reported.
