Why BOZP is required
As an employer, FixIt has a legal duty to provide its employees with training in occupational health & safety (§ 103 of the zákoník práce). In a trade where you work with your hands, at heights or with tools, this is no formality — the training points out the risks before you run into them.
BOZP applies to tradespeople employed directly by FixIt. If you work under your own IČO (business ID) or through another company, you handle this part with your own employer, not with FixIt.
Which trainings await you
The basis is general BOZP training — every tradesperson completes it regardless of their field. On top of it, depending on the type of work, specialised trainings are added according to the risks of the given job: for instance work at heights, work on electrical equipment or fire protection. Some jobs additionally require a minimum age, medical fitness or professional qualification.
You recognise which training you need from the job
Based on the field and the specific job, FixIt determines on its own which trainings are mandatory for it. You do not have to look anything up — in the Safety section you will see what you have done and what you still need.
How you complete the training
The whole training runs online in the app. You go through the learning part and a short test at the end — you have to pass it for the training to count as completed. Evaluation happens automatically.
Open the training
In the Safety section you select the training you need and start it right in the app.
Go through the lesson and test
You read the content and answer the questions. If you do not pass the test, you can retake it.
Receive the certificate
After you pass, a training certificate is created — it comes to you by e-mail and you also find it in Documents.
Certificates and their validity
The certificate of completed training is in the Documents section among your BOZP certificates — with its validity marked. Training is not valid forever: after the set period elapses it will need to be renewed. Before the validity ends, FixIt lets you know in good time (reminders come roughly a month and a week in advance) so you can retake the training in time.
FAQ
- Can I accept a job without the required training?
- No. If a job requires training that you do not hold valid, the system will not let you accept it. It is a safeguard so that only someone who is trained goes to risky work. Once you complete the training, you can accept the job.
- How much does the training cost me?
- Nothing. FixIt provides BOZP training as your employer — you complete it online in the app.
- What if my training validity expires?
- The certificate switches to an "expired" state and the training will need to be retaken so you can keep taking jobs that require it. You receive a reminder of the approaching end of validity in advance.
