Working through FixIt on an agreement (DPP)

When you work through FixIt without your own IČO (business ID), you are an employee of FixIt s.r.o. under a DPP (dohoda o provedení práce — work-performance agreement). You need no trade licence and no accountant — FixIt handles the contract, taxes and contributions for you. Here is how it is set up and what it involves.

FixIt is your employer

FixIt s.r.o. pays you for your work on the basis of a DPP (dohoda o provedení práce — work-performance agreement). That means FixIt handles the tax deduction, contributions and mandatory filings with the authorities for you — you only take care of the work done.

A DPP has a statutory cap of 300 hours with one employer per calendar year. FixIt tracks the hours worked so that you do not exceed this limit.

How you get activated

Before you accept your first job, you go through a short setup. Each step unlocks in turn, once you have completed the previous one.

  1. Identity verification

    You prove who you are — FixIt needs a verified identity so it can register you with the authorities.

  2. Signing the DPP contract

    You sign the work-performance agreement online right in the app (via BankID). No paper to carry anywhere.

  3. Payout account (IBAN)

    You enter the bank account your monthly payout will be sent to.

  4. Registration with ČSSZ

    FixIt, as your employer, registers you with ČSSZ (Czech Social Security Administration). This step is handled by FixIt for you — you just wait for confirmation.

  5. Activation

    Once everything is done, you confirm the go-live and can start accepting jobs.

Health insurer

During setup, FixIt also asks for your zdravotní pojišťovna (health insurer) — it needs it for the health-insurance contributions. You choose one of the seven Czech insurers.

When contributions are paid

With a DPP it comes down to how much you earn per month with one employer. As long as your monthly pay is below the 12 000 Kč threshold, no social or health insurance is paid from it. Once you reach or exceed it, contributions start to be paid — part is deducted from your pay and part is paid by the employer on top.

Where you see your pay and when the payout arrives

Pay for individual jobs accumulates continuously in your FixIt account. For the calendar month FixIt adds it up into a single payout and sends it to the account you entered by transfer. Along with the payout you also get a výplatnice (payslip) with a breakdown — you will find it in the Documents section.

FAQ

Do I need a trade licence to work through FixIt?
No. As an employee of FixIt s.r.o. on a DPP you need neither a trade licence nor an IČO. FixIt handles the contract, taxes and contributions for you.
Where and how do I sign the contract?
Online, right in the FixIt app via BankID. You do not go anywhere in person, and you can download the contract from the Documents section any time afterwards.
Do I have to register with the authorities myself?
No. Registration with ČSSZ and the mandatory monthly filings are handled by FixIt as your employer. Your only duty is to stay properly covered by health insurance and to let FixIt know when you change your health insurer.
