How it works

For companies

Companies and employees

Do you run a company with an IČO (business ID) and tradespeople you want to send out on jobs? FixIt brings you work, handles payments from customers and gives you tools to pay your people. Accounting and payroll stay in your hands, though — here is how we split it.

How it works for a company

As a partner company you operate on FixIt under your IČO. You accept jobs that FixIt matches you with, and payments from customers come directly to the company account via the Stripe payment gateway. From registering the company to paying your people, there are a few steps.

  1. Register the company

You create a company profile with your IČO.

  2. Connect payments via Stripe

You set up a company Stripe account (Stripe Connect Express) and go through verification. Payments from customers will come to you through it.

  3. Add employees

You invite your tradespeople and assign them roles and the services they can perform. The company is managed by the owner and administrator roles.

  4. Accept jobs

Available employees receive jobs according to field and location and accept them in the app.

  5. The payment lands in the company account

The customer pays by card; the money goes to your Stripe account and the FixIt fee is deducted. Stripe pays it out to you according to its own payout schedule.

  6. Pay your employees

FixIt sums up your people's earnings for the month and prepares the payout materials — you pay them from your own account.

How money flows to you from customers

Payments from customers are processed by Stripe. When a customer pays for a job, the amount goes to your connected company account and the FixIt fee is deducted from it automatically. The payout to your bank account is governed by Stripe according to its schedule — FixIt neither holds nor forwards the money.

Tools for paying employees

You see your employees' earnings for individual jobs on an ongoing basis. For each month you can open a payroll period, which sums up how much is owed to whom, and have the materials prepared — a downloadable overview (CSV / PDF) as well as a ready-made bank order in SEPA format that you just upload to your online banking.

Payroll accounting stays with you

FixIt makes the overview and the preparation of the order easier for you, but it does not carry out the payouts, taxes and contributions for your employees themselves — those remain your company's duty. You send the money to employees from your own account.

FAQ

Does FixIt pay my employees for me?
No. FixIt calculates the earnings for the month and prepares the materials and a bank order (SEPA), but you send the money to employees yourself from your own account. Payroll accounting, taxes and contributions for employees stay with your company.
How does the company get paid by the customer?
Through the connected company Stripe account. The customer pays by card, the amount goes to your account and the FixIt fee is deducted from it. The payout to your bank account is governed by Stripe according to its schedule.
Who in the company can manage employees and payments?
The owner and administrator roles. They add employees, assign them services and set up the payment connection.
