How it works

For companies

Stripe Express account: payments straight to your company

To receive customer payments directly, you connect your company to the Stripe payment gateway. You create a so-called Express account, pass verification, and from then on every card payment goes straight to you — FixIt only deducts its fee automatically.

Who needs a Stripe Express account

The Stripe Express account concerns partner companies with a business ID (IČO) — companies that receive customer payments on their own account. It is created and managed by the company owner or an administrator.

Gig (DPP) craftsmen are not affected: they are FixIt employees and receive their pay in FixIt’s monthly payroll.

Connecting is optional — but without it, Pro jobs only

You can run the company without Stripe: you stay visible in the catalogue and can send offers on Pro jobs. Without the connection, though, you cannot take instant jobs, offer Quick jobs or receive card payments through FixIt.

How connecting works

The whole verification happens on Stripe’s secure pages — FixIt never sees your documents or bank details. You can resume any time where you left off.

  1. Click “Connect Stripe”

From the company overview (web or app) you start the connection — FixIt creates a CZK Express account for you.

  2. Pass Stripe verification

Stripe asks for company and representative details and verifies your bank account (KYC). That is a payment-regulation requirement, not FixIt’s.

  3. Return to FixIt

When you finish, Stripe sends you back. If you interrupted the verification, “Refresh status” gets you a fresh link to continue.

  4. The company is ready to take payments

Once Stripe enables both charges and payouts, the company is fully connected — and thereby verified for publishing in the catalogue.

How the money flows

When a customer pays by card, the amount travels directly to your company’s Stripe account and the FixIt fee is deducted automatically — no forwarding, no waiting for a settlement. FixIt never holds your money.

From the Stripe account, money moves to your bank account on Stripe’s payout schedule (daily by default, with a few days’ delay for new accounts). You see the schedule and current balance right in FixIt.

What you see in FixIt

The company overview has a Stripe payouts card: payout history with amounts, statuses and arrival dates, your available and pending balance, and the configured payout schedule. One click logs you into the Stripe Express dashboard, where you manage the bank account and company details.

If Stripe later restricts the account (typically requesting extra details), FixIt shows it and walks you back through verification. You can also disconnect at any time — it is irreversible, and the company stops receiving payments.

FAQ

Do I need Stripe to be on FixIt?
No. Without Stripe you can be in the catalogue and send offers on Pro jobs. Instant jobs, Quick jobs and card payments through FixIt require a connected account.
When does the money reach my bank account?
Payouts from your Stripe account follow Stripe’s payout schedule — daily by default, with a few days’ delay for freshly connected accounts. You see the schedule and balances in FixIt.
Why does Stripe want my personal documents?
Identity and company verification (KYC) is required by payment regulations for anyone accepting card payments. It happens at Stripe — FixIt neither sees nor stores your documents.
Does Stripe apply to DPP gig workers too?
No. Gig craftsmen are FixIt employees and receive a monthly payout from FixIt — only partner companies with an IČO have their own Stripe account.
